The situation
A childcare organisation with dozens of branches rarely grows with one network. Over the years each location got its own connection, its own Wi-Fi and its own cabling. Norlandia wanted one setup that works the same at every location, can be supported remotely and can be repeated for a new branch without a new design.
What we did
- Per location a 200/200 Mbit FTTO fibre connection: symmetrical, business grade and with an SLA.
- Per location at least one firewall and one PoE switch, in the same configuration at every branch.
- Wi-Fi 7 access points, with the number per location determined by the building.
- Cabling where the existing infrastructure was not sufficient.
- Rollout across more than 75 locations, planned around opening hours so childcare continued.
Support
Norlandia is originally a Norwegian company. First and second line support is handled by a partner in Norway. When they cannot resolve an issue, or an engineer is needed on site, Networkguys is called in. That gives Norlandia one central service desk and still someone who can be on site within the Netherlands.
The result
The rollout was completed two years ago. New locations are still connected following the same setup, with newer hardware where needed. Connecting a new branch is a repeat of a known design, not a new project.
